The City has applied to obtain and operate the new top-level domain. ICANN published the application under the New gTLD Program 2026 Round, the first window since 2012. City services first, then local businesses and associations.

OSCE summit in Lugano: cantonal parliament approves CHF 4.1 million security credit
Ticino's cantonal parliament has approved an advance of more than 4.1 million francs for security at the OSCE ministerial meeting on December 3 and 4. The Confederation will cover 80 percent of the costs. The UDC: Bern should pay it all.
