Editorial standards
Lugano Tribune publishes original, verified journalism. These standards describe how we work and what readers can expect from us.
Fact verification
Every story rests on retrievable sources. News follows the two-source rule. Quotes are verbatim, attributed, and linked to the source. We never invent facts, statements, interviews, statistics, financial figures, property transactions, or events.
Newsroom bylines
Lugano Tribune articles are signed by the title's journalists: Marco Bernasconi, Sara Galli, Andrea Moretti, and Elena Ricci. These are the working journalists behind Lugano Tribune: each covers a beat (municipal affairs and Ticino, business and finance, culture and community) under the managing editor. Published biographies carry name, role, and beat only.
Real photography
Article images are real photographs of the subject, with recorded provenance.
Independence
Editorial is separate from advertising. Paid content is labeled. We do not promise favorable coverage in exchange for advertising and do not imply regulatory endorsements.
Corrections
When we get it wrong, we correct it in the open: see Corrections.
